Zhongxing-1D communication satellite was launched by CZ-3B rocket at Xichang Satellite Launching Center, 00:40 Nov 27, 2021 UTC+8.

It's the 14th launching mission in 2021, and 99th launch of all time by Launch pad 2 of Xichang, also 399th mission of all CZ series rockets.

It took 37 years for CZ series rockets to orbit 100 satellites, less than 8 years for the second 100 launches, a bit more than 4 years to finish the third hundred launches.

And now the fourth hundred record will be accomplished before the end of 2021, within a less than three years period. ;)

High-resolution images of the "Zhongxing 1D" satellite launch from earlier today. It was the 399th flight of the Long March series.

A 66-meter deep space communications dish, one of several used for both Chang'E and Tianwen missions. As I said before, if you're truly serious about deep-space exploration and space science – as opposed to publicity stunts and littering the moon with trash – then you must build your own deep space communications network.

Interesting. As usual it is better to look beyond the headlines of who is launching more rockets. For me, how many tons are lifted to space is the more important metric for space development

It seems that the US still retains the lead
Probably have something to do with the potatoes that spaceX lobbed into space. I think both numbers are important.
