Container launched. Could it be possible to fit a couple, maybe 4 of these on a future Type 055 variant, instead of the second UVLS farm?

Where did you see a container, and by container I assume you mean standardized international shipping container? In any event, this mockup rocket looks to be quite a bit longer than a standard container.

Just curious, why do you think they should stick this rocket or its future variants onboard a 055?

Sorry, I meant to say Canister launched. It is cold launched from the circular canister in the image above.

Sticking a large rocket like this on a 055 variant can give it an AShBM capability, much like the DF-21 or DF-26 on land. No idea if a missile of this size can be launched from a modified 055, but they are between 1.5m and 2.5m in diameter and about 21m long, so it doesn’t seem impossible, especially using cold launch method.

The other use I see for this is launching a stack of satellites to replace those shot down in the opening stages of a war, a few 055s could launch an entire constellation at a moments notice.

Edit: Another use case, it could be nuclear armed, after all I read that US destroyers carry nukes.

The spaceport is coming along nicely. It has just

, which involves transporting a mockup rocket from the assembly plant to the launch platform and then erecting it for launch. The first launch from the spaceport is scheduled for March of 2022.

Another look at the erector launcher.

This unfortunately is the wrong thread for that topic.
