There is a specific window for the landing. If they don’t do it on the 15th then they have to do it on the 16th or 18th.
Why not 17th? The orbiter's period is 8 hours, Mars self rotation period is 24 hours. So if the phase is aligned for the landing site, there should be equal chance of landing every day.

According to this post, Edgar is saying that he expect signal to recover at 18-19 UTC.

According to the landing profile, the separation is E-5h. E0 being the entry moment. Edgar said that he lost signal at 16:08, so the entry point is around 19:08 according the landing profile, then 7.5 minutes (450s) later touch down at 19:16 UTC. We may get some confirmation at around 20:00 UTC.

Isn't the rover supposed to land at 23:35 GMT. +00:20 for signal to be relayed.
So by 24:00 GMT we may get the news.
