High-resolution images of the latest launch. By the way, this launch marks the 103rd consecutive successful launch of the Long March series of rocket, breaking the previous record of 102 consecutive successful launches. This new milestone took less than two years and four months to reach.

I saw this YouTube video a few weeks back that said that the Chinese space station could actually get larger because China usually creates a backup for everything in case the initial one is lost. I remember hearing this somewhere myself. Anyone think that's possible because what do they do with the backup when they don't need one?

Yes it's on the card. I've seen a photo of both Tianhe module side by side on the ground even.

Here's a visualization what it would look like if phase 2 expansion is completed:

Note that Tianhe 1's solar panels have been detached and moved to Mengtian and Wentian while Tianhe 2 still has its solar panels attached. If you look up the official animation of the functions of the large robotic arm detaching and moving solar panel is listed as one of its capabilities.

Where's the robotic arm to grapple and dismantle the ISS though?

Yes, two core modules were built and the station is expandable. It could also be interesting as a core module of a new station, perhaps a commercial one?
