I was asking if these images are of Chinese origin (in an American report).

They were all written in English, not a single word or symbol in Chinese, though the presentation could be drawn based on American's intel or perception on how PLA operates.

Thousands of US and Philippine troops, joined for the first time by a strong contingent of Japanese soldiers, have commenced Balikatan 2026 military drills.

Beijing warned the United States, Japan, and the Philippines against “playing with fire”. “We wish to remind the countries concerned that blindly binding themselves together in the name of security will only be akin to playing with fire — ultimately backfiring upon themselves,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a news conference.

Indonesia retracts plan to monetise Straits of Malacca​

Indonesian Finance Minister mulled the idea of imposing levy on ships passing through the Malacca Straits following example of Iran but was opposed by Malaysia and Singapore, and had to retract the plan.

A PLAN naval task group led by 055 DDG-107 Zunyi is conducting exercises in the Philippine Sea east of Luzon. Seems like the PLAN is sandwiching the Balikatan 2026 Exercise from both the west and east.

2026 Balikatan: Missile fired from Tacloban hits Nueva Ecija target​

The United States’ Typhon Mid-Range Capability (MRC) missile system fired a Tomahawk missile from Tacloban City just after midnight Tuesday, and hit a target area in Laur, Nueva Ecija, as part of this year’s Balikatan exercises.
