My take bro, they want to test Blinken commitment if they really do stand with us, Will the US afford a crisis where they were overstretch? Especially the defense instability in Europe and the Middle East? I predict that strong message will be sent to the Philippine to tone it down until the crisis in the Middle East is resolved, that's their main concern right now as the American public had a fixation about Israel and sadly we are last from the list of American priority.
If Americans have to think about Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan and Philippines, a lot of heads will explode from just data overflow

seriously, I saw this today

Now we have deep state becoming exasperated at how over stretched America is.

is Philippines really believing that America has energy left for a place with no strategic industry, resource or money?

China can run this grey zone tactic forever since it has now been normalized.

Yup just I predicted, we will be buying second hand equipment instead of a new one, its like Bringing a knife in a gun fight....lol

From this I can conclude that the Philippine is not inclined to intensify the tension any further, the reason is that the American had gotten what they wanted FOR CHEAP. If the US really want a war with China, they should have arm us to the teeth instead they tried the long tested strategy of dependency, it only show that the American didn't trust us and by controlling the lever they had the capability to tighten the leash if we misbehave.

(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) — In 2021, the United States approved the potential sale of 12 latest variants of F-16 fighter jets to its close ally, the Philippines — however, the proposed purchase has been delayed due to financial constraints faced by Manila, which deems the offered price by Washington as “too pricey” and ...19 hours ago

Oof, penetration by watercannon, in one side out the other.

UM4 sustained enough damage that she had to receive assistance from PCG ship escorting her. One would expect we'll start to hear about injuries soon too.

I don't think the water is actually penetrating the ship, it looks more like some of it is going over and running down the other side.

It's interesting that UM4 is being so heavily targeted though. It was first deployed last time, and drew the brunt of the attention then as well. I wonder what CCG doesn't like about it compared to UM1 or UM2. It's larger than the others, maybe something about the quantity of supplies?
