The J-20 and J-31, China's two new stealth aircraft, are still in development. However, secrets about the two other 5th generation aircraft, J-23 and J-25, were exposed on the Chinese Army website, as reported reports on the news portal "Qianzhan".
The fighter aircraft J-23, designed by the Shenyang Aviation Corporation, is not longer based on Russian technology, the report said. Shenyang airline chose instead to base the J-23 on the F-22 Raptor of the United States, so it will provide the Air Force or the Chinese Navy a better chance to fight a potential conflict with American planes.
According to leaked information, the J-23 has a longer body and two V-shaped vertical tails that look very similar to those used in the F-22. If China could achieve the 117S thrust vector engine from Russia, the maneuver ability of the J-23 will also be improved, the report claimed.
It also said that the J-25, China's 4th generation stealth aircraft designed by Chengdu Aviation Corporation, is able to shoot down the F-22 a few seconds. The plane, which was given the name "Ghost Bird", is considered one of the best stealth aircraft around the world due to the 3D printing technology of China. Analysts say that the main task of the J-25 is to challenge the dominance of the United States and its allies in the airspace over the Pacific, the future environment of Chinese aircraft carriers.

I find that report from the link provided highly doubtful.

1) Where did China get American's design or technology... so much so that they can 'base' on the F-22? From a couple of photographs on the net? Spies? what?

2) J-20 and J-31 is not based on Russian Technology I believe... unless they are saying that the Russian provide the Chinese with stealth technology or radar technology or engines. If the latter is the case, then what make that website think that the Chinese had their hands on american's engines.

3) Because of 3D printing technology... it made the aircraft one of the best stealth aircraft around the world? How so? Plus 3D printing technology was not extremely out of this world... US has it too. So what make the Chinese one that much more superior?

4) 117S engines are not available to China... unless China buy Su-35... so that statement of "If China could achieve the 117S thrust vector engine from Russia, the maneuver ability of the J-23 will also be improved, the report claimed." is a stating the obvious. Plus there had been heaps of argument against thrust vector engines and I don't think anyone wanted to revisit that... so I would just stop here.

5) I doubt any professional Chinese would ever state that their aircraft could shoot down another aircraft within seconds, unless they are doing a sales pitch. It is not in their gene. The Chinese would never say things like that. In actual facts, I have seen many professional military analysts who always claim that their equipment might still lack behind US...

So all in all... I don't believe in the website.

Forget simply all that BS ... it all comes from an older report posted once at wantchinatimes.com from last December:

Sounds more like it's describing the J-20 and J-21/31 projects than new projects that are just becoming known.

We already have two threads on 4th gen project, no need to have another one on fake projects.
