Again, given that we know Norwegian F-35s intercept Russian bombers I don't see why it would be any more dangerous from an information security standpoint to have Japanese F-35s intercept Russian bombers.

There's an operational difference between choosing not to use F-35s for intercepts because it's expensive and being legally not allowed to because of some secret agreement.

Then how come we haven't heard of any encounters with Chinese aircraft? I can easily say that the US has been avoiding China because they're reacting to how new Chinese radars saw US F-22s flying over South Korea. F-22 stealth characteristics are supposedly the best meaning the F-35 is less. That's why the spin on the title. Just because Japan has deployed F-35's, not using them to intercept Chinese aircraft, why would China reduce flights? Again is Japan going to fire?

Like I said, I think it's because the Japanese air force is choosing not to do so because of expenses, you think it's because they have some sort of secret agreement to not use them for intercepts.

Not arguing with you there, I don't think using F-35s for intercepts will change China's flights nor did I say it would.

Then there's no connection between Japan deploying the F-35 and any claimed drop in flights by China. Like I said spin because that title implies China got scared of Japan's F-35s.

Multiple sources are saying an US RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft overflew Taiwan today. Taiwanese civilian aviation control tried to get ROCAF to make contact with the "unidentified aircraft" but the request was ignored. Then PLAAF fighter arrived and chased off the RC-135.

Any chance we could get a summary? I can't connect to the weibo site.
