Riveting good read from 'The Pen' as to why Australia's behave as the USA's lapdog. USA is Australia's largest investor by far with over 25% of total direct foreign investment.

Australia’s confrontation with China comes from US power over Australia

Pompeo’s comments were steeped in the attitude of American exceptionalism, where the United States should have the sole right to arbitrate the future of any any, and be freed from accountability. The United States is now claiming the right to determine how China and by whom China will be government.

The point is that this is really a matter for the Chinese people and no one else’s business. Whether one likes a particular political system or not is beside the point. The real issue is respect for the right of peoples to make their own choices over the future of their nation, free from foreign interference.

China will not succumb to this plan. This is a nation with the capacity to fight back. If the push persists, China will find good reason to work out alternative trade arrangements with other nations. This is already beginning.

That the Australian government chooses to be cheer leader for American exceptionalism and dominance should be of grave concern. It does not only signal support for this on a global scale. This exceptionalism and dominance applies to Australia as well.

The United States is patently not a better governed country than China is. Having elections and democracy does not mean having good governance and governments that can lead a state and society towards furtherance of socio economic development and societal Harmony and also have a state that has much resistance to the demands of various special and single interest/issue groups, be they corporate ones or non corporate ones. The United States needs significant to great improvements in terms of its educational system and attainment, health care provision, transportation and telecommunications infrastructure among many things, but their elites cannot come together and make coherent long lasting solutions towards this, and there is so much disdain among much of society, especially a large section of the power elites for the working class and even to a certain extent for middle class professionals. Having democracy, elections, freedom of speech and other freedoms that one can name does not improve civic responsibility, especially when civic responsibility requires conscientious collectivism that US society generally dislikes and so many even scorn.

This article explains the psychology behind America's new cold war, and why it won't be like the last one. TL: DR it is an obviously racial conflict.

China seems surprised by America's sudden descent into irrationality, perhaps this will help them understand it.

There just no let up by USA mist staunch ally.
The write up including everything from Taiwan, India, SCS, Hong Kong, Xinjing, "china virus" pandemic. Etc. with government "mouthpiece" thrown in for good measure.

It is little wonder that the average Aussies reading this ending up being anti-China, I would too if I didn't know better.

China has fired a direct message in response to Australia declaring Beijing’s claim in the South China Seas are illegal, accusing Canberra of “recklessly making provocations” and blindly following the United States.

Europeans are all mostly either resentful, fearful, or influenced by the United States. China should not fool itself on which side of the Cold War launched by Pompeo that most Europeans will be on. This is a Cold War that does not involve little to any military threat by China to Europe, but one which is as a reaction to China's development, future development, and potential future power and capability beyond the United States. It is also a missionary one in terms of political ideology or at least it is being cast that way. Any country that does not have a system of government that is like that which the West preaches and is also very powerful socio economically is a threat that must be contained.

China should focus heavily on its domestic affairs and domestic market and chiefly seek to get what commodity resources that it can get from other countries, especially from the West through trade, and never again do anything remotely that seems to be generosity before it will be construed as a malignant attempt to curry favour and corrupt others.
