Why does 2nd pic look so different?

Because the Earth is round, on a map, the shortest route from point A to point B appears as a curve.

Compared to the DF-17 it seems to be more low profile but alot longer and the launcher is likely heavier judging by the extra axle.

Could also be df-27A. Df-27A was rumored to have enhanced range and accuracy. I read about the df-27A some time ago, but forgot the source. Some American military expert had briefly mentioned df-27A.

it’s not a missile it’s a Radar erector as you can see going front to back under the camouflage
you can see window panels, as compare to Df17 you can find any from one end to another

Think you are mistaken since there is a groove in the cab for a wedge shaped structure consistent with a missile, and inconsistent with a radar.

There will be a test with identical NOTAM like this on Nov 27. Honestly getting a little disappointed on these NOTAM near Xinjiang because I am still waiting for something else.
