Ah yes, a Reddit post of an article from Yankeesama that was posted on F-16 net... Some three years ago.

I suppose there's nothing inherently wrong with reposting it as some people may be new and may not have come across it before. It was posted here at the time and was already discussed then.

But the person who posted on F-16.net didn't choose to link to the original Reddit post for some reason... And just directly copied and pasted the text post and comment.

In a recent podcast Yankee implied that China wanted joint venture with Russia on a version of a Su-35 with Chinese avionics and missiles. Unfortunately it has gone the way of CR-929.

I think it's more like China didn't want Su-35s with Russian weapons and avionics.

In any case, it was only 24 aircraft anyway and they didn't miss much.
A truly "PLA-ized" Su-35 would offer some neat capabilities but probably wouldn't be worth the time, money or Chinese aerospace engineering resources.
