PS: How many aircraft is there in a batch? 36?

IIRC all J-16 have WS-10B but it's just that later batches got later variant of WS-10B with longer petals

All J-16Ds use the WS-10D/B-3 which looks like the EJ200:


Until now at least, since that is definitely a J-16D and that looks like a WS-10A/B early with the signature double layered convergent-divergent nozzle.

Could mean later batches had more aircraft then 24? I doubt any given batch would have less then 24 as that's basically the minimum number of aircraft a brigade have. He could've overestimated initial production batch numbers as well.

Why would batch 0 exist? And even with it, if it's some pre-serial batch, why would it have 40 airframes ? More logical would be a small test batch.
