China Ballistic Missiles and Nuclear Arms Thread

It's ironic they think China is up the yin-yang with nukes yet it wasn't too long ago after Wen Ho Lee the average American thought the Chinese were too dumb to know how to put together a nuclear bomb. You would hear things like, "If China ever got the bomb, China would be dropping nukes everywhere." That was close to four decades since China had its first nuke test. They lived in blissful ignorance and now they're all in panic because China has nukes...

I dont think anyone here is calling them idiots. But what can be discerned from the october 2019 parade indicates that the DF-41 complex is inferior to the russian mobile ICBM complex´s. The canister is heavier and doesnt seem to have the capability by itself to indicate target coordinates for the missile.

Those videos dont show DF-41 launches, and launching from a train doesnt necessarily mean that it isnt a predefined-launch site.

The commentator said DF-26 can choose launch position at random

The number 1 target at Taiwan is none other than the US built South Paw early warning radar. Its Taiwan most valuable military asset and this program discuss how Taiwan would defend against PLA missiles and rocket. Maybe China needs some tactic nuke to neutralize it.

Surely the solution is either a single DF-17, or say ten 370mm rocket artillery round arriving simultaneously.

Oh the same billion dollar US radar system China jammed immediately after it went online the first time...?

If it emits a matched frequency, does it only jam in the direction of Huian? Like if a plane takes off from Guanzhou, is the jamming still effective?

I think it is easier to jam a large fixed radar installation that isn't moving anywhere and always at the same place. You just thrown enough radiowaves of the right type towards its direction.
