Canadian Military News, Reports, Data, etc.

Hopefully, the MoD procures some long-range strike weaponry to boot, which would be especially important if we are to stake a claim to the highly-contested Arctic regions. Something in the league of the LRASM, SCALP-Naval, Tomahawk Block IV, or Naval Strike Missile would be perfect for not only future combatants but also existing Halifax- and Iroquois-class frigates/destroyers.

The Naval Strike missile is a anti-ship or land attack missile develepode by Kongsberg.

The original name was Nytt sjømålsmissil (literally New sea target missile, indicating that it is the successor of the Penguin missile); the English marketing name Naval Strike Missile was adopted later.

The US is testing the missile for its LCS class of vessels, particularly the Independence class.

Kongsberg also created a more multi-role version of the missile, the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) for use from the Jpint Strike Fighters it is buying from the US, which will fit into the JSFs weapons bay

I have been a bit under the weather my friend, but am doing a little better this evening wanted to hop on line and see what all I have bee missing,

Wouldn't it cool to see the four Iowa and the Texas ad other bore US Navy museum ships refurbished to new or units ad Lasers and particularly Rail guns?

These vessels are all museum ships:

BB-35 USS Texas
BB-50 USS North Carolina
BB-55 USS Alabama
BB-60 USS Massachuessetts
BB-61 ISS IOwa
BB-62 USS New Jersey
BB-63 USS Missouri
BB-64 USS Wisconsin

There are also some cruisers, but those battleships right there would be enough. Probably never happen...but they would be a site to see, all modernized with modern sensors, some missiles, CIWS, RAMS, and particularly with rail guns and lasers. Strike fear into any potential aggressor.!
LOL!

Trudeau canceled the F-35 tender (which I have to disagree with, despite my initial opposition to the F-35 in the first place). It would most likely be Super Hornets or perhaps an European aircraft.

Actually, the F-35 is included in the competition to replace the CF-18.
