1st off all, seeing your models in here, I remembered me as a young boy having my own plastic fleet. Well, guess what. After I saw your models, I started again.
2nd. That 212A SSK is a little tiny joke considering your great models (f.e. Nimitz Class) but it is worth to do it.
3rd one little advice with color scheme of 212 in german version, really try to find a good baltic brown or almost violet. I build it, and screwed with the color in first time. Now I am building it again.
the one in the back has the correct color scheme.

The German Type 212 SSK comes next.:
I have numerous 1/350 scale subs, from Sea Wolf, to Yassen, to Virginia, to Astute, to Oscar II, to Ohio, to Soryu, to Yuan, to Type 091, to Vanguard, etc.
Now I will build a Type 212...and it will be the smallest one I have built. The Yuan and Soryu are quite a bit bigger than the Type 212.
What colors did you mix, and in what portions to get that Purple-Gray?
But very far of the sea a bit unusual hehe
In reality only 3 very inland Gorky/Nizny Novgorod where Russians build Kilos, Charlie a small to Zelenogorsk on the Volga build Gepard, new Corvettes and in China on the Yangtse to Wuhan build SSK Yuan, Type 056.

Jeff, you said that "they were built to a similar design as the Dutch Kortenaer class but with a different hull and propulsion system" which is wrong for the hull as both the Kortenaer Class & the Bremen Class use the same hulls plus the Jacob van Heemskerck Class Frigate use a near identical hull but the stern is totally enclosed compared to the other 2 classes. the forward 76mm gun on both the Kortenaer & Bremen are located on the exact same spot on that deck. the shape, layout & configuration of the forward superstructure are almost the same for all 3 classes. I know this as I'm currently building all 3 classes using the Bremen hull. even Revell lists lists both Bremen & Kortenaer uses same even tho the hangers are different sizes & shape. if you want pictures of all 3 then let me know as they are a work in progress.
