Huh Adidas? So soon? Isn't Russia still under sanctions?
German sportswear and footwear brand Adidas may reopen its stores in Russia on November 1, news outlet Mash reported on Friday on its Telegram channel, citing sources within the company’s Russia unit.
Mash reports that recruitment for the new Adidas stores is scheduled to begin in early fall to get everything ready for the launch in November. There is no information as to whether Adidas stores will retain the brand name or reopen under a new one, like former Inditex stores did.

Western Europeans are laughing at the American workplace culture. I work in an international company which has large work forces in both US and China. Once in the mid 2000s we had to lay off massive numbers. I had American employees visiting Europe, she told us that the laid-off people in US office were notified in public and asked to immediately remove their belonging from the office. We in Europe were absolutely shocked. Here everybody is called into a closed meeting room and informed of staying or leaving. It is totally up to the laid-off person to decide what to do next, he/she can either leave immediately and tell everyone, or choose to stay. Then the manager will inform everybody in a separate conference who is laid off.

Surprisingly (to you but not me) our Chinese office practiced in the same way as our European headquarter instead of US style. The company is European, but the Chinese branch did the respectful style instead of American style. The choice is by the poeple heart, not enforced by some legal system. So I won't be confident if I were you.
I had the same experience. One of our senior engineers just got back from vacation on Friday, he's joking around, talking about how he's great to be back, etc.

On Monday afternoon we're told to call management or security if he's seen on corporate property. Wtf??

Technically China is still developing as opposed to America’s stagnant/regressive non-developing status.
Talking about America's stagnation, Bill Maher is getting very inpatient: China gets things done, while we are a (constipated) colon of a nation! We are not losing to China. We already lost.

Such abuse of the judicial system by the political faction is an ominous sign that the US is on the way toward a banana republic.

IPEF, and to some extent CPTPP, are just empty talk and wishful thinking.

And bringing up a European company, their style of management, and the style of management that was adopted by its Chinese subsidiary is relevant how? In a discussion that was about managerial styles of American and Chinese companies.

To which I can say its no surprise a Chinese subsidiary of a European company emulated its managerial style, that's not necessarily the case with Chinese corporate culture as a whole.
