Well they try the absolute hardest to "coup" China.

Look how the table have turned now, due to covid in which trump insisted was spread deliberately into us by China, now he is on the brink of losing an election that he was certain to win
So now by definition China pulled a "coup" on the us lol

That's 2 crashed aircraft, 2 dead pilots this week... Still can't believe the rate of accidents for the US military this year.

FOLEY, Ala. (AP) — A U.S. Navy training plane that took off from Florida crashed Friday in an Alabama residential neighborhood near the Gulf Coast, killing both people in the plane, authorities said.

Zach Harrell, a spokesperson for Commander, Naval Air Forces, said both people in the T-6B Texan II training plane died, but they weren't immediately releasing their names. No injuries were reported on the ground.

The thing is that the US armed forces in total has well over 10,000 planes/helicopters of all types. What is an expected attrition rate per year for this large a fleet? I think this year is running higher than average but that could just be more media coverage, would be nice to see an actual year over year comparison but i know that would be hard to get.

Really surprised by the deterioration in relationship of EU and turkey. Belarus and turkey have been the biggest focus for EU these days which is why it seems they are moving slower to "confront china" as what the americans are hoping. There is movement in EU to adopt a harder approach against china, but I think they really are fighting fires at the moment.

Hi j17wang,

Turkey is a Muslim country, also history may play a major role which dates back to OTTOMAN period, so the policy is mostly emotion based. but on Russia its asymmetric warfare. Democratic party shared the same ideology with EU, they called it ATLANTIC Alliances, their common threat and enemy is Russia. Maybe because Russia is next door and China is far away. That's why if Biden win the focus will shift back to Ukraine cause it is still an unfinished business especially for the Biden's financially. The US establishment had a thing for Russia, I don't know the reason but the hatred is deep.
