I am more curious as to how any future Republican president will react to any appeasement of the French and EU within NATO. Future GOP presidents will see it as probably as "Dems surrending American leadership" on the global stage and attempted to repeal it. It is gonna cause more mayhem down the road.

Everyone and their mother know that there is a (very high) chance of Trump or a Trump 2.0 Republican getting elected at 2024.

If that happened, all these high profile moves against China would be the biggest joke of the century

The miderms are almost certain to be a disaster for Biden. Which means that between 2022 and 2024 he will constantly fight against Republicans.

I guess the world is starting to wake up more and more. This can only be a good thing

On this point, I do not agree.

The world, always knew.

Except, there was no one strong enough or willing enough to do something about it.

The rise of China changes all that calculus for all involved, which is all nations in the world.

The Middle East and how they are drifting towards China is a very significant development. That is under reported, and if it continues that way it will be a total game changer.

Foreign media and Lithuania are now slandering Xiaomi. They systemically target every big Chinese company

Important wake up call for Xiaomi to start using local components
Think back two years to 2019.... this all started back when supposedly it was all about "Huawei 5G backdoors".... turns out this has nothing to do with backdoors, and in fact was never going to be limited to just 5G, and doesn't even stop at just Huawei...

Recall when Huawei first got put on US entity list many people thought it was to target the 5G but that the handset division would be left alone (and there would be a GMS exemption etc) or when news first hit that ARM could be forced to severe ties with Huawei many in the industry felt that at least TSMC was safe... that at least Huawei wouldn't have to go without chips and be denied access to the high end chip fabs etc...

Once Xiaomi displaced Apple as world number one in anything, the writing was on the wall that the US was coming for it next.... These days the gloves have come off and they don't even bother with the pretense of an excuse anymore... any successful Chinese company anywhere is "justification" enough to get hit by illegal sanctions and to have its supplychain kneecapped by the mafia hegemon simply because "China Bad"...

Chinese full stack independence is more important than ever... this will end in only one of two ways, China wins, or China becomes re-enslaved by the Anglos... Steve Bannon was right about one thing, there is no middle ground, it is winner takes all... and I hope that has become crystal clear to the Chinese government and Chinese leadership by now...

Thanks for link.

It seems that there is a lot of spinning on this news rn.

I have checked some other media as well and say the same thing (France US "friends again") however, they all avoid to go into some detail on what has been discussed. This might be proof that the tweet you posted could be correct about Macron saying that

Lets see how things will look in a few hours. Need more time to check other tweets from various people on this matter
All words so far. No action.

Iron ore price is down to $94 per ton. There is still weak demand for iron ore from Australian given China's effort to diversify sources of supply. I reckon Australia will need to tighten its belt in the near future as there is already large budget deficit.

The heavy dependence is being reduced, thanks to China's efforts to close down some domestic factories for carbon reduction purposes and expand the sources of supply, as well as seeking alternative resources.
