I would like to add that I will take a huge pinch of salt for anything about China that is reported by any western media nowadays.More like a tub of salt. Trump would agree too since CNN is always so salty about him.
Phew.So this settles it: China did not raise the limit of radiation level near the nuclear plant (in order to continue operation). Only 5 nuclear rods leaked amount 60,000. The plant can be safely operated with 150 damaged fuel rods. The moral of the story: take anything from CNN with a huge pinch of salt.
Is there anyway for a nuclear power plant to be operated totally offline?Phew.
This is such a good news. Can't say I wasn't rattled a bit. A lot of people in twitter were either in celebration or readying up Chernobyl 2.0 crocodile tears or pearl-clutching.
I really don't like the location of the Taishan nuclear power plant. It lies smack right in the Guangdong Province.
Cyber attacks are least of my concern. I am more worried about the Tectonic plates having coitus not far from the province. Is there anyway for a nuclear power plant to be operated totally offline?
Cyber attacks on these facitilies can be a disaster
China would have known because France would've iterated about this arrangement with Americans regarding nuclear technology.No. The moral of the story is that this French nuclear company should be kicked out from the country and/or have some executives jailed.
All nuclear-related things are a national security matter and this French company thought it was a great idea that it would go to the US and start talking about the state of the nuclear plant in China to its biggest enemy, the US.
^^This is the real scandal here. The matter should be investigated extensively to find out if the company had a legitimate cause of concern AND what it revealed to the US.
For CNN we all know what it is, Fake News
Sorry but I just vomited blood. Anyway thanks for making my day again siegeWhy wasn’t India an option for technological leadership?
The White House will consider arranging talks between President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, as the two countries spar over issues including human rights, a top U.S. official said on Thursday
Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that the two leaders are due to "take stock of where we are in the relationship."
"It could be a phone call, it could be a meeting on the margins of another international summit, it could be something else."
Biden: "About buying these US Treasu..."Biden and Xi are both expected to attend the G20 meeting in October hosted by Italy, one possible venue for such talks. Sullivan said no final decisions have been made.
