Is Bangladesh changing its stance with regards to its founding father? That is going to have an effect on its relations with India, since he was an old ally of India.

The Bangladesh interim government on Tuesday announced that the public holiday on August 15 which commemorates the death of founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been cancelled.
The advisory council of the interim government announced the decision. Muhammad Yunus met several political parties, barring the Bangladesh National Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami, who gave mixed opinions on the cancellation of the public holiday.
Bangladesh has observed August 15 as National Day of Mourning to commemorate Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who was murdered on that date in 1975.

As expected the Western press already started attacking the Rooppur nuclear power plant project.

They are claiming $5 billion USD of the $12.65 billion USD construction cost was embezzled. Just plain bullshit. That is $12.65 billion USD for two 1200 MW nuclear reactors i.e. $6.32 billion USD per reactor. There is no way $5 billion USD were embezzled.

For comparison Russia is charging $7.5 billion USD per reactor in construction in Egypt. The ones in Turkey are supposed to cost $5.5 billion USD per reactor. The reactor in Turkey was cheaper than the one in Egypt because it started construction much earlier, newer projects are typically more expensive due to inflation. As for the reactors in Bangladesh, construction will be more expensive than in either Turkey or Egypt because it is close to a river, it needs cooling towers, the others in Turkey and Egypt use direct ocean cooling.

For comparison the US reactors by Westinghouse at Vogtle cost $17 billion USD each. That for a 1000 MW reactor. Perhaps they would rather buy their reactors from their new patron the US then. Maybe they think it would be cheaper and less corrupt? The company that caused Toshiba to go bankrupt due to a massive scandal where they hid losses in Westinghouse before it was acquired by Toshiba. And Toshiba was left holding the bag.

Even more reasonable Western nuclear projects like the South Korean reactors at the UAE cost $8 billion USD each. That is a 1400 GW reactor. And those also used ocean cooling so they did not have to build cooling towers.

As I also expected the interim government is already trying to slash investment by cancelling projects. A lot of foreign investors, namely Russian, Indian, and Chinese providing the loans for these projects might be burned, and stop further investment into Bangladesh altogether. The cancellation of the investments will also depress Bangladesh's economy and make short work of growth. Preventing Bangladesh from attaining full middle income economy status.

Also, it seems there are clear attempts to forcibly move Bangladesh into the US orbit by the unelected caretaker government.

I do not think this is anymore than distortion of reality, because Sheikh Hasina was Anti-West, anything happens anti Hasina is being tagged as pro western which is poor way of thinking. None of the project except Padma Link mentioned in finance express are funded by China, Rooppur is being done by Rosatom. And external adviser has already commented on the matter that Rooppur NPP will be finished. Rest of the projects such as MRTs and Matarbari are funded by Japanese companies. I can not say who this globaldefensecorp is.

I am fairly certain the US won't be shedding any tears if the Japanese financing companies lose their investments either.

I think the same. Similarly it would be unwise to think that because of anti Hasina sentiment now US would dictate terms in Bangladesh or people would like US now.

Nobody in Bangladesh is interested in US.
