"China invaded Vietnam in 1979 you clueless mook.
They got their asses kicked into next week."

Article: Anti-China Brainwashing Is the Fast-Track to War)

For the nth time I have again encountered a claim
that China got its ass kicked by Vietnam. It is only
here in sinodefence.com that I read that China did
not lose. If China really did not lose why does it
not set the record straight?
It’s because you are referring to uninformed laymen who can’t even read a book. I would personally just ignore them. You can’t fix stupid.

How many Chinse did Mao kill/massacred/democided?
Figures I have read (from many years of reading) in
various magazines, books, websites ranged from a
low of "tens of millions" to the latest and highest:
"49-78 million deaths".

Under 10 million.

When people attribute deaths to famine during Mao's rule to his government they typically ignore the rest of the region had famine roughly at the same time. So the idea the famine and deaths to famine were just due to politics is BS.

The population boomed substantially after the end of WW2 and there was a period of increasingly failed harvests. This is why China decided to stop the program of technology transfer with the Soviet Union which was being paid with foodstuffs. And later went into the Great Leap Forward supposedly as a home grown alternative to continue economic growth without using imported technology. So the Great Leap Forward era is a consequence of the failed harvests but you typically read the opposite in Western media.

From Wikipedia:
Democide refers to "the intentional killing of an unarmed or disarmed person by government agents acting in their authoritative capacity and pursuant to government policy or high command."

massacre = killing by the hundreds or thousands or millions.
