Question: does china intend to put lasers on big planes like us did? Also are there in china programs for developing electromagnetic spectrum weapons like haarp or something?
Can't comment on the Laser, But I would lay money on a attempt by them
as To HAARP, for Goodness sake! HAARP IS NOT A WEAPON or a weather Machine or Zombie machine or mind control or a ASAT system or a pole Flipping device or a way of getting Free Alien Porn... well maybe on the last one.
It's R&D for GPS, Atmospheric mapping and general research run with the DOD but also the University of Alaska.

Notice that i didnt say just like haarp but based on entire electromagnetic spectrum. I think this way : more you go to gamma rays more effects to enemy you may take. I know that this require a lot of energy but still...energy is not a problem to china

I had to jump on you for haarp because of the way Haarp is built. Haarp is not a weapon if it were to deploy it you would need to construct a massive array across miles of enemy territory with a effective range of a few dozen miles around the device.
Are there possible EM weapons?
Yes.
Microwave weapons, Some highly Focused Active electronically Phased Array Radar's have potential as well but mostly for disruption. even the feared EMP is hyped beyond it's actual threat.

Well this is what i search. I suppose they require enormous energy and are huge things. Not to mention lots of problems when make on paper first. What about a multiple EMP warheads?

I think to something. Air its a gas ...that can be rejected by a magnetic field. So having a magnetic field on a missile would reduce friction

Hello everyone,

So this might not be the right place for this but here it goes.

What sources of Sat Imagery is everyone using? Obviously Google Earth is good but how do you know the images are up to date or "new"? is there anything more timely?

Thanks,

Rich

There seems to be a early talk about a 4-nation anti-terrorism block involving Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, and Tajikistan. At least
Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has endorsed the idea after meeting with General Fang Fenghui early this month.

If true PRC is certainly driven by the desire to control the flow of insurgents crossing the border to Xinjiang. And if the idea is getting ground than we could expect trilateral/quad-lateral talks to follow.

Tajikistan might not join, as it has close relations with Russia
