Do we know when a demographics related thread will be back up? I understand the last one was locked for good reason, but demographics are a key part of China and discussions related to demographics seem to be all over the place now.

Do we know when a demographics related thread will be back up? I understand the last one was locked for good reason, but demographics are a key part of China and discussions related to demographics seem to be all over the place now.

I wouldn't trust most predictions that go past 2050, due to how fast technology evolves. With stuff like anti aging meds, robots, climate change and other unforeseen factors things could easily change for the worse or better. If climate doesn't mess China up too badly, demographics might be okay. If the next administrations are incompetent, then there is no hope.

Would it be a good strategy to establish a military base in Myanmar to protect oil and natural gas infrastructure? It could be a good way to prevent India or any nation from blockading Molucca. And if shit hits the fan in Myanmar Chinese soldiers could probably also gain good combat experience.
