Mnimax reported on their 2025 results. The inference part is already making money. So, it's just a matter of increasing inference revenue and margin. Over time, that could cover their R&D cost, maybe.
try this out btw, 9B model is almost on-par with gpt-oss-120b according to this. It is also better than GPT5-nano across the board. The 4B model looks like the start here. Can fit with FP8 on 8GB device and run easily and almost as goo as Qwen3-80B.
Tried in LM studio, it's better than chatgpt 4o mini
