Alibaba’s first self-developed AI glasses are officially unveiled!
The first day of the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), Alibaba released the technical development progress of its first self-developed AI glasses, "Quark AI Glasses". It is reported that the Quark AI Glasses deeply integrate the Alibaba and Alipay ecosystems, have the Tongyi Qianwen large model and Quark's latest AI capabilities, and support a variety of scenarios such as AutoNavi near-eye navigation, Alipay Kankan payment, Taobao price comparison, and Fliggy business travel reminders. The Quark AI Glasses have mainstream functions such as calls, music, translation, and meeting minutes, and have achieved breakthroughs in AI interaction, wearing, display and imaging, and battery life.
At present, Alibaba's AI glasses have completed research and development and are expected to be officially released within the year.
According to previous reports, Alibaba AI glasses are available in two versions: AI glasses without display function and AI+AR smart glasses with display. Among them, the one with display function has a higher priority and is expected to adopt a dual-chip architecture, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 + Hengxuan BES2800 chips.
According to insiders, the glasses were jointly developed by the Tmall Genie hardware team and the Quark AI R&D team. The person in charge is Song Gang, head of the intelligent terminal business of Alibaba Intelligent Information Business Group.
