So it's finally happening.

What's going to be the term for American VPN'ing into China's internet? I propose "Cowpokes", an American Midwest slang for cowboys and anyone immediately adjacent to the life. Was picturing horsemen trying to get into China, but specifically Americans motivated by pragmatism than ideological or political.

Thanks I misread that.

The problem with energy infrastructure still remains. Vietnam, for instance, imports a large amount of electricity from China to sustain their factories. I imagine they need to do something similar if they want to build data centers.

In the first half of 2026, China's electricity exports to ASEAN surged 42.9% to 2.39 billion kilowatt-hours, mitigating energy market volatility caused by tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Myanmar was the biggest growth driver, with its electricity imports from China nearly doubling in the first five months. During the same period, China's overall exports to ASEAN increased by 34.6%, and intermediate goods trade reached 2.86 trillion yuan, a 24.5% increase.
At least they can directly purchase electricity, instead of urging people to take cold showers. Import solar panels and gas turbines or even hydroelectric power plants from China, and build build build. In short, China can provide everything needed for electrification.

It’s crazy to think that ASEAN is Chinas largest trade partner , bigger than the US or Japan or EU, and most impressive is the fact that the trade is increasing even more rapidly. At this rate ASEAN will be Chinas most important trading partner by far this coming years . They will be Chinas priority area of focus I guess .

I’m surprised people don’t really talk much about ASEAN , to be honest, I actually believe it has been the most successful union/organization globally so far, even more than the EU. Afterall the EU couldn’t stop a major war from its continent . While ASEAN has miraculously avoided a major war in their region for decades now despite being the most diverse region in the world.

Unpopular take: A US ban on Chinese AI is a massive gift to the rest of the world as US firms will pay 10x for inference while non-US firms pay pennies. With intelligence being the new oil/electricity, making your own supply 10x more expensive is how you lose economic competiveness.
Nothing preventing US companies from using totally domestic UAE or Saudi models either with only 2X markup if you get what I’m saying.

I canceled all my anthropic accounts, now officially on Zcode harness with Kimi K3....

Claude (even Opus not the Fable) was giving me bullshit left and right about "security" concerns and I was paying for the privilege of getting gaslit and handicapped....

Then what broke the camels back was last night Claude refused to do a video rendering, and I suspect because I wanted it in Chinese, and actively sabotaged an 8 hour render, when Kimi K3 spotted the sabotage and fixed it for me right away..... I suspect Dario is detecting if the user is Chinese and then actively and subtlety sabotages.....

I would recommend and advise all ethnic Chinese persons to stop using Claude/Anthropic and OpenAI/Chatgpt immediately

For those living in US, even if USG blocks Kimi API you can still use a VPN or rent overseas VPS etc. If even that is blocked, then it's a signal time to get the hell out before gas chambers cometh

A quick Qwen test simulation of ICP etching chamber using voxels and particle interactions. Of course scaling massively everything in the pattern or would take a million years to render in a browser, it seems that the model has a pretty good understanding of the research literature because I didn't prompt to use voxels, it found that was the best way to accurately represent the etching process under ICP ionized plasma conditions. Interesting to test a simulation in c++ using a proper rendering engine for visualization in OpenCode or something similar. I think the model has potential for research applications.
