Manus AI is moving its HQ to Singapore, speculation is that doing so would allow them to bypass the Nvidia chip embargo.

On top of news that Deepseek R2's release is delayed due to the lower computing power of the chips available to China, it seems chips is still a bottle neck that needs to be worked out to catch up with American AI.

Chinese export control should apply to Manus AI and prevent them from exporting tech to this new entity.

Who is this guy and why he is worth $200 million? China needs to protect its AI talent more.

The race for AI talent in SV is real now and engineers are being paid athlete salaries, so for sure China will have to step up to retain its talent.

As for this guy though, considerng how far he is in his career, he likely is already a green card holder or maybe even on the path to becoming a citizen, so he counts as talent that left China before its own domestic tech sector took off.

There nothing new in Manus AI, there are many China company work on this, and not depend on Claude like Manus. And Chinese people should be free to decide where they go if they not against the laws, in Manus case, they develop themselves and not take government resources, if they cannot compete in domestic market, they should allow to find different place to grow, China market very fierce, that how China strong right now, you can disagree with government and go, but you can comeback if you follow the law and the wind is change direction.

it really isn't. I don't know why people keep believing this kind of crap.

China is swimming in chips. Repeat after me "China is swimming in chips".
