Asianometry (Taiwanese China basher) trying to downplay Chinese innovation by saying Deepseek is not run like a Chinese company. So, its advancements are unique, does not represent Chinese innovation as whole. This is the take I have seen coming out of pro China bashers like Jordan Schneider as well. Now Deepseek is unique specimen and thus US should not be afraid of Chinese Innovation.

if you disagree with him and think his point is bad, then why are you posting it here? What's the point? If you have your view about DeepSeek, just post your own view. I don't need bad takes from online to be posted here.

Didn't Xiaomi recruit their new head of AI from Deepseek?

So I wonder how that AI Lab will be setup...

Asianometry is one of the most well-known youtubers now when it comes to China geopolitics, chips and AI. He even featured in the Jordan Schneider's podcast with Dylan Patel. Right or not, His take will have huge influence over many people. There are certain points about Chinese software industry that was quite interesting. I am not sure if these were right or wrong. But worth knowing and discussing.

Yeah I was thinking the same. I wonder how many Deepseek top personnel remain with the company. Since it seems many Chinese tech giants have been trying to recruit them with big paychecks.

Huawei is moving really fast. Its Xiaoyi assistant already got an upgrade and now includes web search.

SenseTime has now brought DeepSeek on their platform. I wonder if DeepSeek will just turn a lot of the AI platforms in China like SenseTime from developing their own LLM to more specialized models, AI tools/agents and just hosting.

Chery is also integrated with DeepSeek now.
