Does the US knows only to use its military might to advance their gains. They are currently producing many small yield neutron bombs. It is a cruel and impartial weapon. All the posters ever post are US military persistance use of military threat and propagandas. Why can't America live with peace with the world. Almost high percentage of world problems, either start by US or that they have a deep hand in it.

The recent Japan Defense paper put up 5 possible defense senerio options.
Four of the options are related to the US ( and has nothing to do with Japan), while the last involved Russians (remote). If Japan were to take out US from the equation, Japan would be safer.

Yes mate.

Skyhawk.... mate. Victory in war is not merely a measure of weapons. And no one gains a thing if USA and China nuked each other. The only winner in such a scenerio would be Japan, India and the European Union

China would not be able to nuke USA because USA will not allow her to. USA would target those ICBM silos, and destroy them preemptively. China does not have enough nuclear warheads to wage a second strike.

USA has over 15,000 warheads, and has the means to deliver them in multiple ways. Long range bombers. Cruisemissiles. ICBMs. Submarines.

It would be impossible to stop USA even with a preemptive first strike. USA could and will deliver a crushing counter strike to any foe.

China, on the other hand has only 12-20 Liquid fueled ICBMs that can reach the USA. There are plans for solid fueled mobile DF31As but these are not yet inducted, and its not clear how soon they will be. And these ICBMs have at most, 12000 KM range, enough to hit midwest, but not eastern seaboard.

In any nuclear war between equal foes, there would be no winner. If Russia and USA ever had a nuclear war, the world would be destroyed.

However, China and the USA are not equal. Not even close. The USA could obliterate China with wave after wave of nukes, and China would be helpless to match USA's strikes.

China's nuclear arms poses no direct threat to USA itself. It's only a real threat to USA's allies in the east. Japan, Korea. Taiwan. Australia. But to USA soil, no way. China's nuclear arms poses no real threat.

At the moment, USA has no reason to engage in war with China. True, China is rising, but it would rise regardless. However, if the day comes when China becomes a superpower, and is strong enough to directly challenge USA, and does threaten USA's interests, then there is a real possiblity of nuclear exchange.

ah, sky hawk, you think ther u.s's imaginary missle sheild will potect you? i dont think so. china has several dozen icbms hidden in moutain locations and uderground fortfications. its all part of the great wall project. they can be launched in hours time. they can be fired and cover at least 3/4 of the u.s china alos a single type 92 sub and a single type 94 sub to provide a secind strike. the u.s only has ten thousand nukes, and you expect chi9na to not be able to detect them and shoot a few down? any amount of nukes on eitherr country will create enough fallout to kiill the world. only you would od something so crazy. you are so immature thinking china and the u.s would go nule at eachother.

The issue is not whether USA can destroy China or not, but whether it will be willing to allow one of its cities destroyed (most likely LA or SF) just so that it can wipe out 1/5 of the world's population. What do you think?

China only needs one good nuke to deter an attack. As long as one of ICBM or SRBM can reach continental USA, USA will be really careful about launching pre-emptive nuclear attacks.

skyhawk, you do realize if even 100 nukes land on china, the radiation will just get blown over to the USA by winds, and make sure everyone on the planet will develop cancer within a year, and probably die in 10

The Soviet Union were a rival superpower to the US for decades, yet the two has never engaged in open warfare.
