The average for a 30-year loan jumped to 6.02% from 5.89% last week, Freddie Mac said in a statement Thursday. The last time rates were above 6% was in November 2008, the company’s data show.
“A 6% mortgage rate isn’t just a psychological threshold, it is a major threshold of affordability, particularly for first-time homebuyers,” said Greg McBride, chief financial analyst at Bankrate.com. “The increase in mortgage rates since the beginning of the year has had the same impact on affordability as a 28% increase in home prices -- and that’s on top of the already heady appreciation seen the past couple of years.”
I'm curious, how much does it cost monthly to live in a RV compared to paying rent or mortgage for a house?

Isnt it a good time to invest in US rental property then ? Granted the rise in price(NAV) might cool or even correct quite a bit, but with yield(rental)running so high cash flow will certainly looks good.

Highest mortgage rates since 2008? Wait, I vaguely remember something happened on America's real estate market in 2008...

Some signs that the U.S. economy is not all well at the moment, to say the least. BTW, if demography is the destiny, which I don't agree, then the U.S. is not in a much better shape than China.
