Alien invasion?!

Well, I've been thinking about making this thread for a while. I never had the courage to. I thought everybody would make fun of me. But then I saw the SG-1 thread.:rofl: So I'll just go ahead and do it.

If Earth is attaked by Aliens, would it stand any chance? Is there any hope of survival? Or are we doomed? These are questions that urgently need to answered!:rofl:

On a more serious note, this thread can be a place discuss what a war in space would look like. It doesn't have to be an alien invasion. It could be simply a few decades down the line when space based military assets are used to counter one another. Or we could look far into the future an play around with interplanetary war. All ideas are welcome.

When Goll comes in and destroys my inventive and original thread I will know that I am now a true member of Sinodefence because I have been punished by Gollvalienen. Until that happens, you are still a noob. So maybe everyone can get an interesting and enlightening conversation going so the thread can live. But if not, I will just consider it a rite of passage.

anyway, i thing whoever invades earth would obviously have better technology, or else they wouldn't be able to travel to earth, right? however, we should be careful on identifying threats, because i believe not all aliens are evil. some may be just friendly guests, and then we fire on them, so then they fight back and enslave us, and we still say they invaded. this is actually a very likely scenerio (especially thanks to hollywood) since it is basic human nature to be afraid of the unknown.

also, two years ago Bush already announced his ambitious plan of bringing the battle ground to Mars.

Aleins, well from my prospective they exist.... Laugh all you want but I have seen a UFO in real life before, too bad my cell phone wasnt on so I couldnt have taken a picture. It was saucer shaped with the back slightly longer than the front and was silver. It was moving slowy, slower than a helicopter actually, When I turned away for 1 second and looked back, it was GONE! Freaky! Anyways, we really have no idea how advanced Alein tech could be, but from what I saw, that saucer must of had high acceleration to get away that quickly.

I don't know if we could take the risk of letting the aliens land. Who knows what diseases they could bring? On the other hand, our diseases would be the best reason defence too. Biological weapons would be our best hope.

Imagine an alien race 1,000,000 years more advanced than us. The ability to warp time and space to travel the vast distances of the universe will require technology only us cavemen earthlings only dream of.I also have seen strange things while flying and its not the USAF or any other world power.

...and what about aliens, lot depends are they hostile or friendly by nature...And Im firm believer of their peacefull nature couse afterall hate and warring is rather primitive human charectaristic and if a race can reach out other civilisations, it surely haves to be more evoluted in that field...
