now nobody will believe me, but earlier today I thought she should just sail to Diego Garcia, I even meant to post that opinion; now

Jura I believe you that she would make port somewhere. I was thinking Guam or Hawaii...Diego Garcia cannot handle a CVN in port for an extended visit....with no liberty or even with a small liberty party. My wife and I were discussing the port visit in Da Nang a couple of weeks ago. She said.."I can't believe they are in Vietnam. There is corona
there". Apparently she was correct.

All American warships must call their home ports as quickly as possible.

If the ship is deployed they cannot return to homeport, to many treaties and agreements would be violated. This situation is historic. We will have to wait and see what happens. As for testing sailors for COVID-19..this will take some time. I hope the USN has the resources to do so.

The ship is in Guam on port visit, everything is fine.

No liberty. Which is understandable.

If you like Steppenwolf.. you will like this video. If you don't know who Steppenwolf is go have your grandma or mommie tell you..then watch this video. Great shots of cat shots with fully weapon laden aircraft.

No liberty. Which is understandable.
But better medical support within reach. And if even more crew members are infected, more space can quickly be created on land so that the virus can no longer spread. A ship with 5000 people on board is a tight cage and everyone shares the same fate at the end.

could be sensationalist, but very funny, LOL!

Not new and not funny. Especially to those sailors that have to deal with a situation like this in any way. Back in '73 & '74 when I was aboard USS Midway we had very similar issues. I also know that USS John F kennedy(CV 67) & USS Enterprise(CVN 65) had similar issues on their final deployments before they were decommissioned.
