how often do they found something? I mean like 'once every ten minutes', 'just once during one walk', 'once per month of walking', 'it depends', ...

FOD walkdown is held on the flight deck and hangar deck normally before the start of flight ops. That is DAILY. Sometimes more than that. Flight OPS never starts until after FOD walkdown.

Almost every FOD walkdown something is found. Usually a screw or nut. Pieces of metal shavings. Broken ball point pens and allsorts of other waste. Usually very, very small things. Not a lot but something is found more every FOD walkdown that I was ever on and that is a lot..

True. I remember once someone found a dead baby bird aboard America. NO I don't know how it got there or what kind of bird it was..
