I think there's just not a lot happening at the moment. Big Liz is still in Pompey preparing for phase 2 of her trials, probably putting to sea after October 16th to test her systems, with a view to commissioning into the RN in December. CdG is dock for at least another year
Well end 2017, CdG RCOH up to summer 2018 date he start sea trials normaly ( French Mag. ) with according official PDF " about 30 " aboard and French drivers experimented with M-E etc... never we have a CAW also powerful.

I think the rest of the world's carriers are probably taking an opportunity to carry out essential maintenance and training during the lull before the storm! The next few weeks should be interesting!View attachment 42394

Actually it was intended as slightly tongue in cheek. Events however can get away from you...
I only made mention of the situation as a general reference to the likely current disposition of the USN Carrier fleet. I don't get into politics much. I always feel the need to shower afterwards...!

... and at that time I didn't know CVN-77 was sailing to WestPac, so I thought you're wrong, while in fact
there'll likely be two carriers off Korea next week!

CVN 71 and no 77 Bush homeported to Norfolk, 71 in Rft ?

BTW PACAF and USMC have around 4 bases whose 2 in South Korea very close, Misawa is a little more far but with a big tanker Fleet it is not problem. Plus Bombers to Guam.
The Fighters present in the area about 200 don't need true Rfts except surely eventualy... F-22s from Elmendorf/3 FW and occasion for 1st F-35A/B war operations, i don't think a deal possible with " Rocket Man "

now found an interesting quote

Captain Jerry Kyd, commander of HMS Queen Elizabeth, commented on the initial deployment in 2021 and how difficult that will be, even with far more aircraft than are available for the carriers today:

“We are constrained by the F-35 buy rate even though that was accelerated in SDSR in 2015, so initial operating capability numbers in 2020 are going to be very modest indeed.

We will flesh it out with helicopters, and a lot depends on how many USMC F-35s come on our first deployment in 2021. But by 2023, we are committed to 24 UK jets onboard, and after that it’s too far away to say.”

inside a strange article
