Thanks a lot ... so we can expect another number-change. to 74x1x, 74x2x and 74x3x serials.

By the way, I read somewhere that the 9th Air Regiment, 3rd Division is likely to be restructed into a new unit too; maybe also some sort of brigadisation !?

I hope already bought my book ! ;)

Anyway, me again with a new question I ask for Your thoughts:

Besides the CFTE, FTTC and Training units and that strange UCAV (J-6UCAV) Brigade we know that there are since 2012 at least 4 so called Bases, which replaced Divisions with their subordinated Regiments now re-designated to Brigades:

Dalian Base: 88th, 89th, 90th & 91st Brigade
Ürümqi Base: 109th, 110th, 111th & 112th Brigade
Shanghai Base: 78th, 85th, 86th & 93rd Brigade
Nanning Base: 124th, 125th & 126th Brigade

In recent months there are however some reports concerning the establishments of additional Brigades and former Regiments from the 13th, 33rd and 44th Divisions were mentions albeit never shown with new serials. In contrast this - the former 15th AR, 5th Division - seems to be now confirmed a Brigade even with new serials. (

My question now is what "Base" superseded the 5th Division and are the other Regiments now Brigades too?

... and what about the other Divisions (13th, 33rd and 44th Division's Regiment) ?? :what:

No, the same former 61st Regiment J-10B but finally with new serials.

OK 61th Brigade Henri K was saying also equiped in part with J-10C you think possible exist J-10 unit mixed in more J-10S can have J-10B and C ?

And the 21th Division reduced to 2 Rgts and/or a new " Base " ?

From what I know it has indeed a mixed fleet of AS/B/C ... seems as if the 19th Division (maybe) also have this or a similar complement.

According last GE view with new hangars since 2 years about plus Scramble say " believe " J-10A surely Wendeng is equiped, 12th Rgt sure in this case + 1 Navy.

In more 18 J-11 B ? aligned to Tangshan visible about 10 J-7II so do transition or J-11 in visit but 18 much ?

Pardon ... but this is too much cryptical text !

What has Wndeng 12th AR to do with the Navy and even more with J-11B at Tangshan ?

Ok, no relation between both

1/ Wendeng AB : according last GE view new hangars since about 2 years plus Scramble say " believe " J-10A have replaced J-7G then quite sure Wendeng is equiped, the 12th AF Rgt sure in this case + 1 Navy.
In more Wendeng is a " front line base " Very well placed in this peninsula make completely sense a unit equiped with last type.

2/ Tangshan AB GE visible 18 J-11 B ? aligned and only 10 J-7II so do transition or J-11 in visit but 18 much ?
