Hehe, i have corrected thinking initialy 11 : 10 AF + 1 Navy and after finaly 12 : 11 + 1
Rgt in blue to Navy.
I have noted and on the 5 last Rgts equiped with J-10, 4 have do transition from J-7 and 1 from J-10 then J-10 replace J-7.

In conclusion much J-10 AF Rgts around Beijing 5/11 and 4 in the South.

Others types soon :)

I think the PLAAF might use armed trainers like the JL8 and it's rapidly growing fleet of armed drones for classic CAS missions rather than develop and field a dedicated mud mover like the A10 or Su25.

Thinking a very recent udpate Scramble which is well informed say possible the 131 Rgt to Luliang have do transition from J-10A on J-10C.
Early 2016 the J10As were replaced by J10Cs (to be confirmed).
Chengdu MR Training Base (serials 6xx7x) used to operate J6 aircraft from this base. April 2012 this regiment got subordinated to 44th Div. as 132nd Regiment.

Interesting but in this case 2 J-10A Rgts to find

Q-5 retirement

A pic appear some days ago but not sufficient for me not clear.
View attachment 37268

But now here ( i can' t provide translation ) confirmed the 7 Q-5 Rgts/Brigades with about 200 get retired soon main reason expensive to maintain and replaced by J-16 but not one by one coz more expensive.
One J-16 unit, Brigade or Rgt will have about 20 J-16 + 4 J-16D same number than J-11 units.

To admit, I don't know how reliable - aka official ! - these reports are and even more as far as I know there's no direct mentioning of these 7 Regiments/Brigades being retired soon, even if there are some reports that this might indeed happen this year; maybe even without a direct successor.

Anyway IMO they surely won't be all converted to J-16 but also J-10B/C since changing about 7 Regiments would mean about 150-160 aircraft and that would be well beyond the production capability of SAC alone for the next 5 years.

As such I'm early awaiting any news in this regard.
