What kind of war? If it is a defensive naval war Japan will win. If it is a land war PROC will win if they could land troops, probably be sunk before they cross the straights. If it is soley a defensive air war it is hard to say, PLAAF has so many more aircraft they probably win by attrition. If China nukes Tokoyo the US will destroy PROC.

According to what I know, the China vs Japan or China vs India type discussions are forbidden in this forum.

Further more, what's the point to make such a comparision?
