Did the foreign controlled fools in the Gulf states truly believe they can aid in an all out attack against Iran and not get their teeth kicked in in the process? Did they think the US would hold the ground and protect them? Or that their own paper tiger militaries were up to the task of defending them?

Also the turks should watch their tongue, Tel Aviv already has them on their list.
There is two different gropu that needs to be taken into account.
The small leading elites in the gulf countries depend on money inflow and the USA to stay in power.
From they standpoint a last attack on iran is better than doing nothing .Even if it is destructive and has very low chance of success it is better than to escape from they country leaving behind big part of they wealth.

What you describe is the interest of population living in the gulf countries, they biggest benefit if Iran win, USA disapear, and they can enjoy they wealt in guranteed stability, with an Iranian like democracy.
Without the extensive theft of the royal families.

Problem is the international billionaire class include these guys, and they are important part of the oligarchy.
So, again, interest of the few wealthy vs. interest of the citizens of the country.

This is the problem with forecasting the events.

Outcome in a functioning democratic decision making system could be forecasted.

But if the decisions depends on a single individual, whom in place due to inheritance then the given person most likelly lack common sense and in good case represents average inteligence. Worst case he is a narcistic idiot.

These together causing events that we can observe in real time.

Twelve Arab and Islamic countries condemn the Iranian attacks and demand their immediate cessation.

The foreign ministers of Qatar, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates condemned Iran’s repeated attacks on a number of countries in the region during their consultative ministerial meeting held yesterday, Wednesday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The meeting stressed that the future of relations with Iran depends on respecting the sovereignty of states and not interfering in their internal affairs, not using military capabilities to threaten the countries of the region, and complying with Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), including stopping any attacks or provocative acts, refraining from supporting and arming militias in Arab countries, and not threatening international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab.

It appears most countries. Including (but of course not limited to) Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan are afraid of showing themselves as enemies to Saudi Arabia due to the importance of the KSA not just in terms of oil but also because the KSA has big religious influence in the muslim world. And the KSA is making maximum use out of it by putting even countries like Russia and China on the spot "do you support these Iranian attacks on our land or not?" If any one says yes then they will be portraid as an enemy not just of the KSA but of the muslim world.

If Iran wants to win and kick the US out of the middle east. They have to topple the GCC governments especially that of the KSA.

Iran cannot continue on being nice towards the GCC. They have to hit them just as hard as they hit Israel if not even harder. No holds barred.

I believe the reason why Iran is still holding back against the KSA is actually for the same reason why you have countries taking the side of the KSA condemning Iran while not mentioning the attacks on Iran as an issue, and that is because Iran at the top level still doesn't want to burn all bridges with the KSA and hopes that one day if Iran prevails in this war the KSA will have better friendlier relations with Iran.

I believe that is a false hope.

Idealy (though probably not smart to do) The Houthis need to mobilize and once the US' military position in the mid east is severly weakened Iran should focus its fire on Saudi military positions and pave the way for the Houthis to do (as Trump would say) an "excursion" in the KSA to topple the government there.
Wait. So you're telling me PMC was right all along about that Arab soft power stuff?

On a serious matter, it seems despite playing innocent the GCC show their real face after a few weeks. So Iran really has to do this without regrets or anything to hold them back. They know what hurts so now the question is if their will is up to the task.

Six takeaways from latest Pentagon update on Iran war
BBC Live

  • The US defence secretary said the US was "on plan" and "on target" in the war, but wouldn't give an exact time frame for when the conflict might end. Pushed for clarity, he said: "We don't want to set a definitive time frame"
  • He reiterated US objectives in Iran, which he said included destroying Iran's missile launchers and navy, and ensuring "Iran never gets a nuclear weapon"
  • The US has struck over 7,000 Iranian targets to date, he said, and troops have "even more of an exact sense of what we're striking and why"
  • Meanwhile, Gen Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters the US military is now flying further east into Iranian airspace to "hunt and kill" one-way attack drones, and using using AH-64 Apache helicopters to target drones
  • Caine said Iran "came into this fight with a lot of weapons", which is why the US is being as "aggressive and assertive" as it can - he also acknowledged Iran still had "some" military capability
  • And finally, Hegseth addressed reports that the Pentagon had asked the White House to request $200bn (£150bn) in funding from Congress, a number which Hegseth said "could move". He added: "It takes money to kill bad guys"
