I'm pretty sure the purpose is to make interception extra difficult. Civilian life is just collateral when you place military installations and equipment in civilian dense areas (such as Israeli AD batteries that we've seen firing many times from the center of Tel Aviv, Mossad offices under a bloody hospital, government buildings in the middle of Tel Aviv's commercial areas).
It makes it difficult, 80 targets (all true) every time.
The problem is, well, had Iran a more proper military IRBMs, those refueller bases would've turned into Zoroastrian shrines, radically reducing blue ability to bomb Iran in the first place.

Honestly goes to show how little they care about collateral. Should the war expand, more of these places will be struck and ultimately once enough critical infrastructure is destroyed, then mass civilian casualties will follow.

As I thought, as things get worse, the majority of the world will inevitably throw Trump and Netanyahu under the bus for being the obvious culprits for this disaster. After blowing up the girl school in the manner that they did, it is literally impossible for any media outlet to pant that action as a positive. Seriously how long can trump last in this controversy of his own making. Many more videos are coming up on line speculating on Netanyahu’s survival but has their been any actual evidence that he is actually alive so far?

Bruh tunnels aren't just for hiding missiles...
Perhaps they will only learn after enough of them are dead.
People can argue decapitation strikes dont work, but Israel is still taking out high value targets, so dismissing them entirely doesnt make sense. I dont think the goal is outright regime change but rather gradual collapse through sustained pressure.

yeah, this ain’t deescalating, despite the best efforts and high profile resignations in the Trump White House.

and meanwhile, a legion of U.S. marines edges closer to Iran….

(5000 marines roughly number a full complement of a traditional Roman legion, 4~6000 men, not including the support staff that still survives in MENA.
will we finally get battle of carrhae part deux: electric boogaloo?).

You have it backwards. If you want to argue that the current round of assassinations are working, the burden of proof really is on you to demonstrate how any of these successful assassinations have contributed to reducing Iranian attacks and war fighting capabilities.

If there is no observable impact, then what does that say about the effectiveness of this strategy?
