Doesn’t make sense to have J-15 in the parade since it should not be in front line units anymore.

That is correct, but the wrong critique.

The J-15s depicted in his diagram (which is a good effort), should be labelled as J-15T, considering the rehearsals of KJ-600 have had it escorted with J-15Ts rather than J-15s.


Which is to say, it's just a case of incorrect labelling.

Based on this video (and the original image's creator @民宣department), I've attempted to reorganize the air parade lineup in sequence of appearance.

Thank you for taking the time to organize and share these flight formation diagrams with the rest of us.

Any idea if the KJ-700, and/or any HALE/MALE UAVs will be gracing the skies over Tiananmen Square on September 3rd?

We haven't seen any of them in rehearsal, so chances are, no we won't.

Also, for UAVs, the PLA seems to have a record of not actually flying UAVs for these parades... which seems prudent given the nature of the parade, the individuals in attendance, and the fact that the UAVs ultimately do not have a human being in them.


Until such a point for us to think otherwise, it is probably a good rule of thumb to not hold any expectations of UAVs flying as part of these parades.

Latest consensus among the Guancha Trio as well as Orca is that disclosures from the 9/3 parade will drive Western military fans insane Call of Cthulhu style… What else will be showcased that we haven’t seen so far?

I'm hoping for a Chinese counterpart to Darkstar... but eh.

I am waiting for a constellation of Death Star that can spit out laser which disintegrates asteroids, missiles and satellites. Lol

that’s my sci-fi wish list. But I doubt we are close to that.

Cause Nukes are boring and pretty much a known and solved tech. All 3 nuke powers now have similar level ICBMs. The only drawback China has is in nuke numbers and SLBM range. If they can have a DF-41 range SLBM, that will be the big game changer. Otherwize, nothing interesting about ground launched ICBMs.

Even if China has 1000 Nuke ICBMs it will not change the power balance in the region. Cause Nukes are not going to be used. But Drones, fighter jets and other conventional weapons will change the balance of power in the region.

In the Nuke realm though, I would say HQ-29 is more interesting than all the nuke ICBMs. If China can develop a viable missile defense shield against ICBMs. That will be a huuuge game changer, much bigger than the 6th gen fighters.

If they can showcase a host of systems that can completely neutralize Indian strategic force, that would be quite something. Again, my ABM dreams might be too much.

I am in Beijing right now and it’s kind of interesting that they are shutting down stuff starting from like August 20th in anticipation of the rehearsal so that fewer visitors stay around here.

OK, I found an unedited rehearsal video. It showed the lineup of fixed-wing aircraft.

The sequence:
KJ-500 J-16*4
KJ-600 J-15T*4
KQ-200 J-16*2

What is the difference between Y9LG and DZ? They are both supposed to be for Electronic warfare? Why does LG have a radar similar to an AWACS?
