If we look at the big picture for the last several centuries. Muslim lands in the middle east was united under one Ottoman empire for a long time. Only this last century did it break up into pieces and gotten weak in the process. The geography and culture there is suitable for another reconsolidation into a more united state but it will take some time for it to happen. Middle East is now going through its own century of humiliation but that could be the catalyst that creates the right mindset and leadership to get more united and focused on development. Essentially this is modernisation by foreign humiliation

I never understood this whole we are Muslim thing so we are all the same. Like Turks and Persians are supposed to be the same as gulf arabs just coz they have the same religions (and not even that considering sunni vs islam) ? Timur was Muslim of turco-mongol origin, I'm sure he got along very well with all those Islamic countries by slaughtering them. Nobody can seriously think some guy from Dagestan, Russia is the same as some guy in Indonesia just coz they are both muslim.

Aside from being different ethnically, turkey also has the advantage of being next to Europe and being part of Nato. They are also more secular. How they act and think will obviously be different from other places in the middle east.

One of the reasons I think Israel has a huge advantage is a lot of them are not really middle eastern but Europeans who claim to be related to it. So how they think and act is based on more modern trends that gives a huge advantage in effectiveness.

We have internet and loads of other information now. People are gonna start asking questions like why should I be considered the same as that person thousands of miles away who looks and acts different just coz we have the same god? I remember 10 years ago, we had right wingers on the internet saying they are all white. Today? They say he's germanic, med, slav etc.

But another thing that might offend some middle eastern posters here is unfortunately, most countries in the middle east are like level 10 and Israel is level 50 in terms of competency. These guys literally teamed up against Israel in the past and got all their planes blown up in a few days. Its basically a pro guy farming the noob servers. Iran was supposed to be different coz they are Persians or whatever but right now sadly that may not be the case.

Because they buy dumbed down weapons from Israel's main backer the US .

Given how weak and stupid Iran has been recently abandoning allies and proxies left right and centre, loosing all the old top leaders might be a blessing is disguise by getting rid of the old weak men so they can be replaced with people who actually still have a backbone.

Also, America can lie all it wants, but given the scale of the strikes, there is simply no way that American wasn’t actively involved. Especially when compared to Israel’s earlier attempts to strike back at Iran.

This isn’t Israeli unilateral action, this is America striking Iran and using Israel as willing figleaf.

Israel can kill anyone in Iran with impunity. If anyone is spared, they probably worked for Mossad.
