is a popular brand of a Naswar in Pakistan, Indians are showing the wreckage of their MiG-21 (engine section) with the raper of tobacco which was lying at crash site as some local might have thrown it there after consuming this brand of Naswar

:D:rolleyes::p:cool::);)

And on top of that US/EU will buy this Indian claim...

Indian achievements so far

8 x aircraft lost and 9 dead pilots

Plus 44 in the Valentines day attack

Pakistan casualties ZERO
I inferred both sides lost a plane each, mig21 for indians(claimed by pak and verified by india) and an f 16 for pakistan(claimed by india, not verified). There is no statement from either side that says a Su 30 has been shot down.

... but to stay realistic!??

Honestly, I can fully understand your and others emotions but IMO - as an observer, who tries to find out the facts of what happened really in all this propaganda battle and the mist of misinformation, overhyped nationalistic and most often wrong postings - it is very much difficult to accept what is fact and what not. But that's better suited in the separate thread.

Hi,

Deino---truth is the first casualty of war---. We already have too much information out there which was not possible 20-25 years ago---.

It is just a wait and see what comes out---. The DG ISPR stated that they would be putting out a video shortly---.

It's interesting, JF17 is inspired by the strong points of the J7 yet seems to be easily out classing in every way it's progenitor. This may be more a product of it being a 4+ fighter taking on what might be called a 3++++++.
The mig21 is vintage although the Indians have updated it how they can there is only somuch you can do before the law of diminishing returns.

I imagine that if we did see SU30 in the Mix the JF17 would be in a worse situation. A budget single engine fighter of the 4+ vs a air superiority twin engine fighter of the 4+ is likely not a good place for The budget fighter.

Was crotchety and not awake yet. Saw something that seemed to make sense but didn't look deep into it.

Now then India so far seems to be taking losses of there vintage fleet of 3+++++ Gen Mig21 Bison the claim by Pakistan is that the weapon they are using is the JF17. There seems to be a logic here. The JF17 is similar to Bison. It was clearly inspired by the strong points of the Mig21 but evolved a bit like the F5 vs F18.
It also likely plays to the PAF pilots favour that Pakistan operated J7 another Mig21 iteration and still operated Mirage fighters.
By contrast the Indians seem to have operated on a Mig21 is all we need mentality with upgrades but the constantly infighting of there fighter programs.

Indian media supposedly showed pieces of AIM-120C5, but the serials belong to Taiwan? -

At this point of time I have truly given up trying to shift through the rumor mills from both Pakistan and India to get anything factual or solid. But to add my own 2 cents to this post, the JF-17 was designed at the start to make use of the full Pakistani arsenal so it would not be surprising if the missile in question was fired from a JF-17.
