Yes, BYD is paying for several, so are many others. I expect it to be quite a large fleet eventually. Just imagine how many cars and electric/hydrogen smart trucks China will export a year, it might approach a million a month if things continue.

These PCTC seem to be getting bigger and bigger with each order, right now they are around 200m long, but the biggest container ships are 399m.

China will also need to export just huge amounts of agricultural machinery too, and mining.

Brilliant, again, example of civil military fusion, BYD pays for PLAN ships, as all these ships are designed to accommodate the PLANs needs in war time, as I understand it.

ahaa, it is a good reason to ban BYD in the US .. it is a solid proof that BYD is linked to PLA

I was wondering why the fire seems to be at different disjoint places and on deck surface too rather than from below. It's an exercise all right.

Any smoke that got inside the ship, will that be hard to clean off afterwards?

Indeed.

Someone made a good illustration below (posted by @hellowo63335565 on Twitter):

The locations that are "on fire" are segregated pretty distinctively from one another, which can be noticed quite easily.

If the LPD is really on fire, there wouldn't be any empty spaces in between those billowing plumes of smoke coming out of the ship - Because by the time this photo is "taken", that entire LPD would've been on fire from bow to stern.
