As I wrote before, the first and last photos were fake. Only those two.
The helipad seems to be one deck below the level it actualy is.
Oh...oops..you are absolutely correct!

Hehehe...those are my own photos from a couple of years ago when asked to show someone what a Type 056 with a hanger would look like right here on SD.

Now they seem to have gotten out on the net.

Good catch! I will go back and change those two pics in that post out for some of the ones above.

They did not belong in that earlier post.

Thanks so much for pointing it out!

It seems like your work is getting even more well-known!

One of my professors actually used one of your Obamacare pictures in her lecture a couple of years ago. :)

.................another month, another 056 Corvette launching..........this time its HD's 9th 056, which was launched in the afternoon of the 15/08/2015.

Due to the edit wars at 'WIKI' which has rendered the 056 Corvette page a mess, its been made difficult now to gauge the 056 build status...............but according to 'Henri K' this is the 28th 056 to be launched.

If you're looking for the older version ship of class table from wiki, you could try searching through history of edits and pick the time of edit when the page wasn't tampered with. That would be around 13th June 2015.

EDIT: Just to help, here's the link of the Type 056 wiki page as of 13th June before the edit war began

Yes.........thanks.........unfortunately as that is not the main page then the latest developments of the build of the class don't get added on.........and to make matters worse, the same thing now has happened to the 054A Frigate page!
Some people need to realise that 'wiki' is the English language internet resource for everyone, and not just their own personal fantasy webpage. :(
I know some Chinese military enthusiasts keep their own records, of the build status of the ships in their Navy.......but with Chinese characters, then it doesn't mean much to the rest of us.
Anyway...........i checked through all past reports, and the latest ship is definitely the 28th to be launched.
As we are only a couple of ships away from 30, which some say could be the class limit, it will be interesting to see whether there are further orders for the 056 Corvette...........and who knows how many they will build in total!

Hard to tell from the picture, is this one an ASW version? Does anyone have an accurate latest breakdown of how many 056 are non-ASW and ASW?

I have in my files 18 general patrol variants and 4 ASW variants in commission.

Since more than 100 037s were built, no less than 50 units of 056s in various variants are expected to be built, to replace these 037s as well as some old 053 FFGs.
