Thanks. Yu Zheng 310 was the newbuild that entered service about the same time as DALANG class Yu Zheng 311 ex Nan Jiu 503, right?
310 is about two years younger than 311, the latter was converted to FE use in 2008.
That's the 8th 054A from HP shipyard.
I've been posting it's pictures on the 054A thread.
All this thread is interesting but what do you thing about this :
Pictures taken in Guinea Equatorial in Malabo. Warship is named Bata.
I can recognize some chinese or russian weapons but I don't know which class is it ? Even if I think it's very close of new chinese warship like type 056... If anybody has an idea I will be glad. Good luck.

Looks like they are making good progress on this at HP.
I wonder how many shipyards will end up building them?

why do Chinese ships sit so low, i mean the bridge, they dont tower as high as Western ships, even ships like Type 071 LPD have low bridges and dont have the height that other LPDs have?
just look at the bridge of Ticonderoga class cruisers, they are like a massive building!!! like a airport control tower, surely it gives better awareness and visability

Tincoderogas were designed in the late 70s, when stealth profiles relating to radar profiles were not as highly pursued. I'm sure some of it is attributed to this. Also, maybe such a tall format would make the Chinese ships too top heavy?
