056 class FFL/corvette

So the top pic would be the type of FAC that is being built for pakistan. Interesting that it says the type 056 does not appear to have anti-ship missiles judging from the model.

are u sure its the fast patrol boat for Pakistan>? looks much smaller compared to other pics we've seen, anyway it look good

It's 46 meters long and 260 tonnes, so probably a smaller scaled variant.

I was remarking to its similarity in appearance to the recent pics of the FAC to Pakistan.

Take this as you will. It's claimed to be 056. All I know is that it's from HD shipyard and it's not 071 and 054A. It certainly fits the profile of being a 056.

I think that photo is of the of the same piece of hull as the one you posted in the 071 thread. i doubt it is a corvette based on the large hollow straight down the middle- could well be a civilian vessel.

They shouldn't be the same. It could be civilian vessel, but the poster did give the impression that this is a naval ship. Based on the guy in the middle, the beam look to be in the 11 to 14 m range (about 8 times the height of that man. If we discount the bottom part of the leg/feet not shown and guess that to be around 1.6 to 1.7 m, then the beam is 12.8 m to 13.6 m)

If they are not the same they look very similar and are in a very similar location. I am definitely not sold on that being a corvette though. In fact the more I look at those pictures the more I am convinced they are off the same thing, the surroundings are the same as is the hull section.

actually now that i've taken a second look, you are probably right. Interesting that they posted it in the same grouping as the 071s, so I just assumed that they were saying this is the next 071.

well, got some more clear photos of 056. These should be from HD shipyard based on the surroundings. Btw, they are also building 056 in HP shipyard. Possibly other shipyards too. The production run should be pretty large.
