Those antenna at the rear are interesting.
I don't think I've seen anything like it before on a ship.
It reminds me of an Over-The-Horizon Surface Wave Radar, which would be useful for detecting ships at long range and also against stealth aircraft.

I would have gone for the Prinz Eugen as it enjoyed a better service career.
I wouldn't use a UK-Germany analogy at all, because both sides were roughly equal in terms of military size and economic heft in WW1 and WW2.
In terms of economic size, economic growth and naval growth - a better analogy is US-UK from 1885 onwards.

Wasn't the Blucher sunk by Norwegian coastal defenses? If the Type 055 were a counterpart then it would need to get sunk by Taiwanese shore based AShMs.
