Regarding displacement, 052D has normal and full load figures. 055 has standard and full load figures. While the 052D dimensions though draw from a 2015 official video, 055 dimensions have no current citation.

Flipped 055 vertically to get the same perspective (the original sat photo had the ships on opposite headings), and rotated 055 2,1 degrees to match 052 a little more.

Shows you how lareg the Type 055 is. She's a large vessel...welll built...modern...stealthy...and packs a punch. Excellent main anti-air escrot and command for the carrier groups.

I feel that at the time you saw this picture late last month, #2 would already have been launched and is sitting in the water. She's next to an already commissioned ship, DDG 175, which is probably there for some maintenance and refit on her radar. Unless they moved 175 up the slipway.

#1 going to sea trials, I think that will come soon enough.
