and your opinions are better than @Blackstone's ? .. we don't need to be right ... not in this forum anyway
I think many peoples' "opinions" are better than Blackstones (in quotes because what's relevant here isn't opinions but conclusions, and their supporting arguments and analysis). No, we don't need to be right in this forum, but if someone has a history of being wrong and making weak arguments, that's going to be noted.

well ... many peoples opinions are better than anybody ... really, including you and me, even @Bltizo or @Jeff Head

We are sometimes wrong and thats ok .. we learn from others .. in my opinion @Blackstone is a great asset to this forum .... he is not always right (you, me and all of us included here) ...

Don't bring up a single case. What I'm talking about is a trend, a probability. When you want to make predictions, you want to base it on the highest probability.

If you want, you can always find outliers. The C919, in this case.
The C919 is hardly the only project that didn't meet projections, the ARJ-21 was about 7 or 8 years behind the project team's "realistic" estimates. Other projects are jet engines, nuclear submarines, jet trainers, and the list goes on and on.

My interest isn't to only rag on China, quite to the contrary. I like reading about Chinese successes and all its glorious details. On the other hand, I like to hear about its failures and all the gory details too. See both achievements and setbacks, and what's wrong with that?

As a poster above said, back to the Type 055. We could take this up in a different thread if you like.

This will be my last post concerning this matter as well. I have absolutely no problem with you or anyone having criticism for the PLA and China. I disagreed with you on a specific point in your earlier post and wanted to discuss it. that's all. Note that I only focused on listing evidence to discuss that particular point. I am not criticizing you as a person, but only arguing with you on the very specific topics at hand.

Sometimes, I might go overboard on the "lessons". that's just me. I have enjoyed "teaching others" since I was little. I once wanted to teach my mom, an established nuclear chemist, some chemistry when I was a freshman in college because I thought my mom might had "forgotten some of her chemistry"...

This is a forum, not school let alone 勞改營. Even there you cannot expect to truly change a person's mind. Forget giving up his belief. Agree to disagree is both bottom line and top line.
Back to 055, please, please, please...

I spy with my little eye...

this shows that JN shipyards needs a large enough hangar to build 055 size ships. That struture seems a makeshift one and clearly not enough. Regardless of security needs, i think that i would better for the to build in a proper hangar.
