Didn't notice this earlier but there's now a small structure on the roof of the bridge. Probably a footing for a sensor?

On the right edge of the picture below you can see the edge of that rectangle piece is really thin and at an angle. I think it's just the piece that was cut out from the large opening on the mast that was temporarily placed there leaning against the railing.

It might be but the piece was in the same position in the previous photo from a month ago, so it could be a permanent structure.

You're right, this photo from a different angle several weeks ago shows that it is part of the structure. It still looks like just a thin shield/railing, there are other small structures possibly behind it, hard to tell where exactly and what they are from this angle.

Actual helipad height at the back?

Blitzo posted this before that we don't actually see the main deck on the demo mockup. The main deck should be at the same level as the helipad. and just like on previous modern PLAN warships, the main deck would have continuous superstructure, without the gap between helo hangar and forward deck house. That's quite important in order to facilitate moving personnel, say damage control party, quickly fore and aft.

to illustrate, the mockup is missing the highlighted section on 052D.

Yes but that platform was added later. Before I don't think there is even an helipad section. So maybe that could also be indicating the actual deck height. Either that or it was for something else but it seems they built that platform right up to where the hangar would be of the original 055 mockup.

Skywatcher and his partner's articles seem to be the goto source these days in the media. I'm seeing everyone reference their articles. This one The National Interest had an article out less than 19 mins from Popsci releasing theirs.

Keck can't even paraphrase the popsci article correctly. confusing the radars in the integrated mast with the ESM mast. have an ESM mast doesn't make a ship "force multiplier".
